YBHG. DATO’ HAJI AMRAN BIN HAJI AHMAD

YBhg. Dato’ Haji Amran bin Haji Ahmad was appointed as a Board Member of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on 1 January 2025. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1993. He is currently the Deputy Secretary-General (Consumer Empowerment) at the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.

YBhg. Dato’ Haji Amran began his public service career in 1994 as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in the Foreign Affairs Division of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. He previously served as the Director of the Sabah National Anti-Drug Agency and the Director of Immigration for the State of Selangor. He also held the position of Deputy Director-General of the Management and Legal Development Sector at the Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG) before being appointed as Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and International) at the Ministry of Human Resources in August 2023.
