2. MyIPO, EUROPEAN PATENT OFFICE AND JAPAN PATENT OFFICE SIGN MoU TO PURSUE COLLABORATION ON IP SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES
MONTHLY ASSEMBLY JANUARY 2021
21 January 2021 – MyIPO hosted its first-ever virtual monthly assembly today. The shift in format is a consequence of Movement Control Order and heightened COVID-19 protocols which are in effect to combat the coronavirus.
The assembly was made meaningful with the presence of Chairman of MyIPO, YB Datuk Mohamad bin Hj Alamin.
In his speech he highlighted that MyIPO’s staff shouldn’t feel complacent with the current achievements instead they need to be more flexible, more strategic, more innovative and creative, more value-added and more creative.
“We need to constantly challenge ourselves, challenge the status quo so that we remain relevant”, he added.
He also highlighted that the number of registrations for all of the IP components has increased by 53.4% in 2020. “This shows that the Movement Control Order does not disrupt the productivity of MyIPO’s staff. Congratulations!”, he said in his speech.
The assembly was attended by almost 400 staff of MyIPO via online.
